ABOUT JAY MURNICK

Jay M. Murnick is the Founder and Principal of Murnick Real Estate Services. Jay has spent over 20 years in the real estate development and property management business with both large national firms and smaller regional owners. Throughout his career, Jay has personally led the acquisition and disposition of over $200 million in real estate assets including his most recent acquisition of $62 million in single tenant net-leased assets, creating a large and diverse national portfolio which he currently oversees.

Prior to forming Murnick Real Estate Services, Jay was a principal at Murnick Property Group. In that position, he directed all operations of a New Jersey-based 1,000+ unit residential multifamily portfolio. In mid-2018, Jay made the decision to sell the entire portfolio, overseeing the process through its 2019 closing.

Prior to joining Murnick Property Group, Jay was a vice president in the Land Development department of a large national real estate firm and spent over 5 years at The Related Companies.

Jay is very active in philanthropic endeavors both locally and nationally. He is a member of the National Council of Trustees of National Jewish Health and has been a recipient of the Hospital’s Chairman’s Award. Jay also actively raises funds for the Stephen Siller Tunnel to Towers Foundation, an organization dedicated to honoring members of the United States military and first responders who make the supreme sacrifice of life and limb.

Jay received his BSM from Tulane University’s AB Freeman School of Business in 1993 and his MBA from the University of Texas at Austin’s McCombs School of Business in 2004. When not spending time with his wife Jodi or their three children, Jay enjoys running races, cycling, golf, and spending time outdoors.
